What an obnoxious set of staff we have here.the place is a disgrace to customer service and an embarrasement to shields
tip with obnoxious staff better suited to working in a cattle mart! no customer skills whatsoever through out the grubby little pub. keep walking folks much better establishments further up the road.

WILL NEVER BE BACK - SHOCKING FOOD AND SERVICE
Having just came from work in Africa after 9 weeks.Decided to take the 2 kids and myself for a meal.The marine being the nearest "local" bar/food place to my home.thought id take the opportunity to go as it was down the road. Upon entering the "cook" was sat with the local i assume. The woman at the bar was welcoming. Upon choosing seats near the window. our table and the neighbouring tables were still with used items.(bar had 6 people inside) I ordered 3 drinks and sat back down at the cleaned table. I took this chance on saying "HI" to the cook on his way to the kitchen.I said "are you busy" His reply was " i am now with 3 mince and dumpling" orders.
The orders came back after 12 minutes. Instantly the plates looked terrible. Nothing what i have seen in the past that resembles good old English grub.
Baby carrots still had tops and tails attached.
Dumplings were in fact (packet pie shortbread mix) that turned to dust eventually after bending the fork to get into it.
I spoke to both of the staff.The ladt at first said ill pass it on . The "cook" said id had to much flour inside.haha
The "cook" said he was sorry..No attempt was made to get some sort of customer bonding. The cook knew i was correct in what i was saying.
Absolute Joke. I will never go into that place until a new chef is in the place.
I paid just under 8 quid a meal....kids were unhappy too. This pub is in prime spot and could make a good income if the correct people were in managing it

first time I've ever been in and I felt like I was being watched not very welcoming no good atmosphere so we left and tried a different pub. Won't be going there when I'm over there Holiday again.

Don't bother going if you're hungry, waited ages, and they forgot two of the meals so two of us went without . Chicken skewers were overcooked and dry. Skinny chips tasted horrendous. Went whilst the eat out gov deal was on, not only did they have the most confusing way of working out the bill but it still wasnt worth the price

Horrible atmosphere when walking threw the door staff just starring all the time not really welcoming is it very poor customers service !
